SPECIAL UPDATE FOR ALOHA AIRLINES FLIGHT ATTENDANTS
Dear Aloha Flight Attendant:
Today, Monday, March 31, AFA’s attorneys filed a motion in court opposing the motion filed by management in which they seek court approval for the shutdown of the passenger operation. AFA’s attorneys will seek to persuade the court to deny management’s motion, noting that the precipitous manner in which management acted has prevented both the Creditors Committee and the unions from having the input required by the bankruptcy law, and has denied all parties the opportunity to explore other viable alternatives to the shutdown. AFA also questioned whether, given the drastic impact of the threatened shutdown, the Company acted in good faith in filing the Chapter 11 case and the motions seeking approval of the shutdown. While the end result may be that the shutdown was inevitable we want to make absolutely certain that the decision was made at the right time for the right reasons. We will keep you posted as to the outcome of this very important motion.
Sincerely,
Your Aloha MEC
