BANKRUPTCY DOCUMENTS AND INSTRUCTIONS

[03.31.08] --
Each of you should, if you have not already, receive via U.S. Mail two documents concerning Aloha’s bankruptcy.  You should receive the Notice of Commencement of the Chapter 11 bankruptcy case.  The second form is the Proof of Claim form.  This form should be filled out by individuals who are owed by Aloha Airlines.  The vast majority of you will NOT need to fill out this form.  AFA will file a claim on behalf of all flight attendants that will cover things such as wages, vacation, sick leave, grievance awards, etc.  All the things that flight attendants are owed in the normal course of business.  Only flight attendants who are owed money by Aloha for things outside the normal course of business, like worker’s comp, a law suit, a loan, etc. are required to fill out an individual proof of claim.  If you believe you fall into this latter category and need assistance with your form, please contact the MEC office and we will direct you to the appropriate source for advice.
