To Aloha Flight Attendants:
[03.21.08] -- This March 21, 2008 a plan was approved in bankruptcy court for Aloha Airlines to continue to operate. MEC President Gail Kim-Moe and AFA-CWA staff attorney, Jay Trumble were in court, along with many creditors of Aloha, when Judge King granted the orders.
This buys Aloha some time to reorganize under Chapter 11 of the bankruptcy code.
On Monday, the MEC, AFA’s General Counsel, AFA’s Bankruptcy Counsel, and AFA Sr. Staff Negotiator will meet telephonically. We have scheduled a membership meeting on Tuesday, March 25th to share with you all the updated information. AIPA, the property management company for our union office has graciously offered us a vacant office space to use for our meeting free of charge. This space is vacant and will require us to sit on the carpeted floor. The meeting will be held at the Airport Industrial Park, 3375 Koapaka St. #B217. Time and directions will be forth coming.
