Notice to Flight Attendants re: Aloha Airlines Bankruptcy
[03.20.08] -- Your AFA leadership was notified today that Aloha Airlines is entering bankruptcy proceedings effective March 20, 2008. The company filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. This is the same type of filing as the previous bankruptcy. It is designed to allow the company time to reorganize in order to continue as a business.
AFA Council 54 will hold a membership meeting to provide you with the latest information as soon as possible. You will be notified via the AFA Phone Tree, and notices will be published on the afaaloha.com website and emailed directly to you as soon as arrangements have been made.
Please pass this information on to other flight attendants whom you have contact with.
